Annual Meeting 2023
Service Project
This years’ service project will be helping out a great organization called Boys Hope and Girls Hope (1127 Hinman in Evanston), which has 4 group homes in Evanston.
This is not an organization that fits our criteria to help out financially, but will be a great local service project and they desperately need our help. Tasks that we will be taking on include moving of furniture, yard work, painting and minor repairs. We have hired some professionals to help assist and give direction.
We could use a few members to take a leadership roles for the day. Please let us know if you would be able to do so. Here is a picture of the girls house to give you an idea of the scope of the work on the porch and front of the building
The day will be divided into two parts. First a service project and then a lunch where we will make our year 3 grant determinations. Last year we had 40 members attend in person and everyone found the day to be rewarding. We’re hoping that you will be able join us this year.
Lunch Meeting
Following the service project we will move down the street to Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria at 1850 Sherman Avenue in Evanston where we will conduct our annual meeting. Even if you can’t free yourself up for the morning service event, hopefully you will be able to join us for lunch and to hear about the organizations that we will be making grants to.
